As for the product as a whole, it feels really good in my hands. I was surprised at the size of this spoon. It's made with very good material and it's really easy to clean. It's not at all heavy and it doesn't feel awkward at all. The length of the handle is just right, but the spoon part is really big. It's nice if I'm using it to cook heavier or heartier foods with, but if I'm cooking pasta or something lighter, it's kind of a pain.
Linda Z in CA I was unable to find it the stores so I ordered it through Amazon. I searched Amazon products and found this great spoon. I ordered it, it arrived promptly and I love it.
Not heavy, just thick. It makes for a non-bendy spoon. Aside from holding onto a little too much liquid, I have no complaints. This isn't a criticism necessarily. But if you want to store several of these kinds of utensils in, say, a canister, the rubber-grip handles tend to cling to one another. It's a slotted spoon. And it's nylon so it won't scratch your non-stick cookware. It's also fairly hefty.
Normally I love all the OXO products, but this is one I wouldn't buy again. Its good for stews and other heavy foods, but if your trying to cook beans, and other fragile foods, go for something else. I think this spoon is a little too thick. That might sound crazy, but when your trying to stir beans, it makes them break apart.
It works as promised, though. This spoon isn't very comfortable. It seems too long or overbalanced and feels odd.
